Ministry has done more than any other band to popularize industrial dance music injecting large doses of punk-fueled over-the-top aggression and roaring heavy metal guitar riffs that helped their music find favor with metal and alternative audiences outside of industrial's cult fan base. Al Jourgensen formed ministry in 1981 and they released several groundbreaking albums throughout the ‘80s that combined a variety of musical styles fusing heavy metal resonating guitars with industrial dance beats and samples, fueled by punk aggression.

But is wasn’t until their 1991 full-length album “Psalm 69,” that Ministry became the true pioneers of industrial metal. That album contained the groundbreaking metal anthems "N.W.O.," "Just One Fix," and "Jesus Built My Hotrod," a driving rocker featuring manic nonsense vocals by co-writer Gibby Haynes of the Butthole Surfers. The record reached the Top 30 and went platinum, and the band filmed three videos (of the aforementioned singles) that revolutionized music video.
Fast-forward to 2006, Los Angeles based guitar guru Sin Quirin enters the fold as a permanent member and is featured throughout the 2007 Ministry album “The Last Sucker” as a co-writer and guitarist. Quirin also played guitar on Ministry’s 2008 “Cover Up” CD, which is rumored to be the band’s final album. Sin Quirin’s work with Ministry can also be heard on several motion picture soundtracks including; Saw IV, Saw V, Wicked Lake, and NCIS. Currently Quirin is handling the axe duties for Jourgensen’s offbeat project Revolting Cocks, co-writing and performing on the band’s 2009 critically acclaimed gem “Sex-O Olympic-O.” The Grammy-nominated Sin Quirin is also currently working with DJ Hardware on the ReVamp tour.
